It also makes an important contribution to economic progress as healthy populations live longer and are more productive. Estimations indicate that health and medical care contribute added years to life expectancy.  

The Tree of Life Foundation International, Inc.’s Medical Branch makes a difference by helping individuals and organizations that are dedicated to providing medical care in the areas need most and enhancing excellence in patient care for the diverse local communities, national and International.

The Tree of Life Foundation International, Inc.supports local residents in various ways, for those who reside at the Tree of Life Center can receive emergency dental care in collaboration with Blue Hearts Dental. 

Among other organizations supported through our Medical branch are: Be a Star Foundation, Blue Jacket initiative to benefit Prostate Cancer Foundation, Children International Life Line, End Allergies Together, Friends of the Orphans (NPH), Hospital Albert Schweitzer, Jessica June Children’s Cancer Foundation, Little Smiles, Miami Cancer Institute, Orbis International, Red Sneakers for Oakley, Inc., Reviver Children’s Hospital, Ryan Licht Sang Bipolar Foundation and St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

Carma Foundation

The Tree of Life Foundation International, Inc. supports the Carma Foundation. The Carma Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit and was founded by entertainer and philanthropist Melky Jean. The mission of the Carma Foundation is to measurably improve the health of poor and vulnerable women and children in Haiti. The Carma Foundation effectively utilizes media and pop culture to create a platform of awareness, dialogue and action. Carma Foundation, an urban spin on karma, embodies the belief of cause and effect behaviour that Carma Foundation mobilizes others to not only care, but to become involved. Since its inception in 2007, Carma Foundation has already impacted the lives of tens of thousands of Haitian women and children and plans to extend its reach to the millions of Haitian citizens.

Hope for Hai Nguyen

Hai Nguyen was born in Vietnam, he became disfigured at an early age when he was diagnosed with a blood born cyst that became a mass so large that it completely overtook his right leg which rendering him completely disabled due to his disease.

Hospital Albert Schweitzer

The Tree of Life Foundation International, Inc. supports (HAS) Hospital Albert Schweitzer. The mission of HAS is to collaborate with the people of the Artibonite Valley as they strive to improve their health and quality of life. Hospital Albert Schweitzer Haiti (HAS) opened in 1956 in Haiti’s Artibonite Valley, fulfilling dreams of its founders, Dr. Larimer and Gwen Mellon, to serve others with medical needs. The hospitals success is seen as a model for health programs in other developing countries, is comprised of three interrelated and cooperative divisions: the hospital, community health and community development. the hospital facility serves patients in medicine, surgery and pediatrics, while outpatient clinics serve patients on a daily basis. 

It is the only 24/7 full service hospital and health system serving a population of over 350,000 people. The hospital is the only facility within a 610-square-mile area that provides care for women with high-risk pregnancies, for children with serious illness and malnutrition, for people whose needs trauma care and surgery.

Jessica June Children’s Cancer Foundation

The Tree of Life Foundation International, Inc. supports the Jessica June Children’s Cancer Foundation (JJCCF), a 501 (c)(3) non profit public charity that supports the South Florida community. The JJCCF was founded in 2004 in memory of Jessica June Eiler Muvdi, the only daughter of Sandra Muvdi after Jessica lost her life to cancer at the young age of 7. The JJCCF’s mission is to provide emergency financial assistance for children fighting cancer to ensure access to basic human necessities. The JJCCF serves the patients of the 15 partnered hospitals treating pediatric oncology in South Florida and advocates for and raises awareness of childhood cancer.

Keep a Child Alive

The Tree of Life Foundation International, Inc. supports Keep a Child Alive (KCA). KCA was founded in 2003 by AIDS activist Leigh Blake as an emergency push to get life-saving HIV medication needlessly dying of AIDS in Africa. And, to provide vitally needed antiretroviral medicine to children and families with AIDS in the impoverished world. She engaged the amazing Alicia Keys to the organization, who has worked side-by-side Leigh for many years on this issue.KCA doesn’t just focus on treating the disease, their approach is to treat the person. They harness the power of community to effect change, they fight stigma with compassion to give people the hope of a future.

St. Jude Children's Hospital

The Tree of Life Foundation International, Inc. supports St. Jude Children’s Hospital. St. Jude is leading the way in which the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life threatening diseases. Their mission is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of their founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family’s ability to pay. 

Entertainer Danny Thomas officially opened St. Jude Children’s Hospital on February 4, 1962 with the unveiling of the statue of St. Jude Thaddeus. St. Jude freely shares their discoveries and every the success of every child saved so that doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children. The majority of St. Jude’s funding comes from individual contributors so St. Jude have the freedom to focus on what matters most – saving kids regardless of their financial situation. 

The Tree of Life Foundation International, Inc. held its 2nd annual “Walk In My Shoes” luncheon Sponsored by Holland America Lines ms. Eurodam cruise ship benefitting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Supporters of both the foundation and St. Jude attended the luncheon, entertainer Adlan Cruz who is one of the most talented pianists in America was the entertainment for the luncheon. All proceeds collected were donated to St. Jude.
